CyberSecurity breech by email attacks

According to some studies, most cybercrime-related incidents are caused by phishing emails or malicious attachments to businesses. Recently, email has become the main target of virtual hackers. This technique has proven to be the most effective at infiltrating a company's confidential data. Interventions and analyzes by the IT security departments revealed a high percentage of attacks by phishing and malicious attachments. E-mail attacks are estimated to be at the top of the list of the greatest digital threats to organizations, companies, and institutions.

In Morocco, for example, more than 15 million email threats were blocked in just six months. The pandemic, which lasted in the first half of 2020, contributed significantly to the growth in cyber attacks. Against this background, IT security managers of companies or institutions have to introduce more relevant solutions to strengthen the protection of their data. These methods must take into account the potential new threats that come with this situation.

This applies in particular to the protection of remote servers, but also the security of cloud systems, identification methods, and the use of VPNs. It goes without saying that these measures must be accompanied by appropriate training and awareness-raising sessions. These sessions are used to help users build their line of defense against cyber attacks.

Server, home or mobile computer, everything is not without risk

In addition to corporate email attacks, Morocco has been found to have over 4.5 million malicious mobile applications floating around. Indeed, exploitation of software vulnerabilities is widespread in the cybercrime world. However, virtual interventions via email are the most common since the advent of digital around the world. Also, it's no longer worth mentioning that dark web hackers have a wide range of tools at their disposal to carry out email attacks. In business, it is highly recommended that you follow professional directions and avoid clicking without thinking of a link or attachment. Indeed, these are common practices for sharing files or data in the workplace. Unfortunately, the thugs use this logic to achieve their goals.

Looking at cyber threats on an international level, IT security specialists have successfully blocked up to 20 billion cyber threats. It turns out that over 90% of these attacks were via email. According to the research on the habits of cybercriminals, ransomware is classified as both a recurring and a constant threat. Also, clubs continue to use new technology to act even finer.
